Nukage's lyrical delivery really made this one, with turbo852's sample choices coming in a very close second.

TheVideoGamer - I was going through another beat block phase, which resulted in a lot of time being wasted. It wasn't as bad as 2 rounds ago, where i had to literally scrape what little of a project file i had, to make something super simplistic and repetitive, but it is up there as being a bit...bland. The problem isn't so much the composition itself, i do love the unusual sounds it has, and the variety of sections, and it is a banging techno number, but it's just a lot of mindless copying and pasting. Yes i do advocate for copying and pasting, but only if the track is too short, or the section doesn't last long. In my case, it's just non stop copying, resulting in something a little too repetitive. The sounds themselves are trying to represent electrical wiring as part of the theme, including one that is literally the sound of an electrical current. The track is extremely hard hitting bordering on industrial, yet the drums are more oldschool 90's techno, and not the distorted kind. Look it sounds interesting, it's a TVG track for sure, i just think improvement could be made in my opinion. Oh well, glad you liked it anyways!

Koekepan - Interesting percussion here, we have a very wide white noise snare, and a kick that is part way between oldschool hip-hop and tech house, it's cool. This is very much a beat focused track, there is little to no melodies here, it's all woven sound effects and thick drums. As a compositional stand point it's extremely cool, it's quite unique, and the beat and sound effects are awesome. The pad that comes in does make it more ambient and brings a nice melody to the party, although the beats alone are fine. It still adds a bit to the piece though. It's only 3 minutes, and i really like that the length is utilized well. I thought it was a bit too minimal at first, but it really picks up towards the end, it's kind of....beautiful. I'm definately gonna give you this one, in fact no i will give you the top spot, not only was it the most theme accurate, it was just so well done in terms of production, incredible work!

DarkShadow - Man what a dynamic change, we go from somewhat quiet (Even if punchy), to something very loud. The melodies are extremely chaotic here, which i know it's your signature, but this is extremely chaotic. Of course towards the end, we get the classic time signature changes. For this one, there is an alarming lack of bass, it feels weirdly hollow to me. Absolutely unique for sure, it was a lot of fun, but it's not for me sorry. Good job though!

Nukage - A Nuke track under 3 minutes? That's actually more rare than you'd think. I love the trap beat, it's not as common as it used to be. Amazing singing as always, i feel like this is David John style but with more space vocals, it's great. The drop (Which doesn't sound like one to me, there's not really a buildup as such), is a tad bit overcompressed for my liking, however that's for the drop. The intro is lovely. I was a bit suprised by the brief Jersey Club groove there, that was like what? Yeah some smoothing might be reccomended, but it still didn't change how good it was. I will give you this one, well done!

Turbo852 - Sorry i forget which one was the new guy, and which one was the 2nd entry guy. I think you're the 2nd entry guy. Another 56 second track, there is a lot to repeat here, which makes it hard to review. At least it's not 20 seconds (Which i have seen), but it's hard when i get so little music lol. Again it's an everyone thing, not unique to you. There is a lot of killer found sound stuff here, it's great. You're taking a lot of metal sounds, and making beats out of them. I think there is either glass, or that's a lightbulb. I don't know, but this is as Andrew Huang of a beat as i've ever heard from you. I don't know how to feel about the melody really, i don't know if i find it too high pitched for the track, but i dig the bassline, that's pretty awesome. Ending is abrupt, maybe a transition to an ending would work. Truthfully, as much as there is potential here, i couldn't really find anything particularlly to dislike as such, i think i will give you this, it was pretty great. Well done!

obScene - Ok obScene doing happy music? Now that is not expected for this theme, but man i am a sucker, as this often brings out the best in you. It's hard to keep track of this one haha, it's so weird. It's not straight up pretty like your Christmas one, it's got a mix of happy keys, and weird minor key blues riffs, it's hard to tell what exactly the key is of the track. One moment we start with a simple cute chiptune piece, the next minute, were going into reverbed piano licks in a different style. At first i was a little confused at the melodies, but subsequent listens and i'm really captivated by it, it's soo interesting and unique i don't know. Which you have done some unique stuff, but not on this melodic scale. I don't know i just love how cool it sounds. It's hard to critique this, it's so weird but so cool. Enough for me to place it on the third spot, amazing work!

WoolSteve - Ok so you are new i believe. This is my first reaction to your music. I don't have to say this, but i feel it's for the best that i say, none of what i say is religious gospel. It's one man's honest reaction to a first time listen. This is merely what i pick up on from my listen with my ears. Your tracks as is with everyone will still be loved and appreciated, but i will do some critiques, which is more of my advice than anything. You don't need to read this, and i'm sure in subsequent OHC you will get comfortable and start to develop a workflow, resulting in some excellent bangers. I really dig this arp, it's kind of Chiptune like, but with a trance element. That main melody is beautiful, although i don't know if it's me, but it seems to lag behind a tad. I don't know if this is all played live. I do love the fast arp, but i think it got a bit too grating after a while for me, but that's just me. I love the dynamics here it's beautiful. It's more just, quantising, and slight arrangement changes to make it less harsh overall (I say this as my entry obliterates your ears heh. To be fair i never say i like that one so lol). All in all i sense a lot of potential, it won't be long before you make excellent music. Good job!

DarkMystery727 - Ooh cool piano and vibe melody it's interesting. The vibraphone is kind of playing a different melody than the main piano melody it's cool. This one is also kind of like obScene's entry, in that it's part happy, part bluesy in a way. This one is more happy than obScene's however. The one thing i would say is that this entry is so damn quiet. There's moments where if it was any quieter, i'd think there was a glitch in the track or something. The melodies at the end though, where we go into a fast triplet was beautiful, and if we added maybe a bit of a volume boost, and maybe an airy pad, we'd really go places. But as of now the melodies here are just great, it just needs to be not so quiet haha. Good job!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - DDR and his rhythm machine is back. I would never guess chiptune elements or chiptune in general would be so popular for this theme, but i am definately not complaining. That is one hell of a electro bass, this is such a gritty tune. It also marks the first in a long time of you incorperating a 303 like synth to the party. Speaking of party, this is definately some 4am club stuff, it's so hard hitting and dirty, but yet the melodies that come in later make it really beautiful and airy. The arrangement is on point, this is one heck of an arragement, and the grooves are awesome. The only thing i will say, and this is a minor critique, is i find there is a bit too much bass overall in the mix. It's not the sounds, it's just there's a bit too much low end for my liking. However this one is minor as the overall mix still sounds awesome, and the arrangement is excellent. So excellent i placed it 2nd, it was great. Amazing work!

Meistr - Cool piano intro, it sounds like rife for a house kick, which suprise this one has. I wasn't expecting live bass, but i'm all for it! The vocal work was almost a jumpscare, not gonna lie, i personally think it's a bit too loud. The track is mixed really well though, and the singing is great, it's on beat and the melodies are catchy. I think the vocals just need to be a bit blended more, there's parts where the vocals are just in the way of the whole mix for me. The funky nature of the melodies and drums though are great though. It has a lot of potential, it could be an awesome banger. Still though, good job!

Arcana - Interesting, it sounds like orchestral, but with a techno like kick, it's cool, because you're sort of blending that futurism with the Spartan orchestral vibe. The vocals are lovely in this actually, not too loud or too pitched, it just blends really nice with the chords. The orchestral drums aren't too obtrusive too, sometimes i find the orch toms to be overpowering, but no it's blended extremely nicely. I didn't think there would be trance chords in this, because you were riding that Orch vibe for quite some time, but i'm all for it. I still sense a bit more potential, but as it stands, this is a perfect Arcana entry. Lovely vocal work, really nice sparse chords and tight drums. It's just so good i'll definately give you this one. If anything i could see myself voting for this one. Awesome work!
