I thought of using this gated chord synth sound earlier today, glad I got to fit it in, and of course you can't forget about delay llama for a theme like this.
aaa I don't have enough stuff
I was just playing the desert area of Mario Wonder, so I definitely was inspired by that.
Did you guys hear, they invented Desert 2
This one is a atmospheric journey, comprised of mostly pads and a bongo loop. It's a drone type piece, mostly sticking to one chord, but with variations to keep it from being repetitive. The bongo loop is chopped to 16 bars to keep it fresh, with the ocasional glitch effect added to add fills and variations. Sometimes it drops out, but for the most part it's throughout. There is also a bassline that acts also as a bass pad to keep it flowing, and there is a faint melody that is designed to not be in the way. Also to up the middle eastern flair i sampled a turkish flute and made my own melody with it. It isn't a long one, it repeats a few times, but it adds melodic flair to the mostly atmospherice piece. It's all about the calming but groove like nature in this one, without the use of breaks or techno beats. Enjoy!

Extra note: Apparently this is a traditional Islamic wedding chant giving the groom good wishes, which is kind of fitting since I just recently got married :)
Stand in a scorching air of sand
This sand is coarse and gritty in my hand
With every grain that falls
My brain bounces off the dunes
Sorry need more practice
